When planning an engagement session I ask couples choose a location that is significant to their relationship. A place that they have fond memories at or something that they enjoy to do together. I also ask that they bring items that will help bring out what makes their relationship unique. This dynamic couple took this to seriously and the result, an unforgettable photo shoot.
I met Nick and Amanda at Social Kitchen and Brewery. This is a neighbor gem in the Sunset District of San Francisco. They are known for their locally brewed craft beer, contemporary comfort food, and the location of this couples first date. We arrived at 5 pm to try to beat the dinner crowd. The brewery had great lighting and we were able to get some amazing shoots by the bar and upstairs. Hands down a beer is the best way to start a shoot.
From their we went down to the Sutro Baths, outdoors were this couple is truly at home. Took at walk along Lands End and took in the sights by the Sutro Baths. The weather at this point could not have been more perfect.
One last stop and adventure, we headed to Ocean Beach to end this shoot with a bon fire. At this point the weather had turned from sunny and bright, to the charming San Francisco grey and breezy. Despite the wind and which much effort we were able to get a fire going and cheers the end of a great shoot.
They will be tying the knot this September, only good things are in store for this couple!!!
Simple, beautiful, affordable.
