8/8 August Photoshoots - Danny and Casey @ Queens County Farm Museum
When I started my photography journey I didn't know exactly where I wanted to go. At first it was just a matter of taking good pictures of my newborn son. Once I had more pictures of him than I knew what to do with, I began to looking for people who would let me take pictures of them. So I couple of Craigslist adds later I had enough pictures to start my portfolio and Photography By Vee was born. I found I loved taking portraits of people. We would go on photographic walks in beautiful locations, I meet some amazing people and learned a lot in the process. I was afraid to photograph events let alone weddings because of the pressure to capture the moment and deliver beautiful candid shots. I left my comfort zone and started photographing children's parties and friend gatherings when I discovered how much I loved photographing events. As an outside observer I got to be a part of milestones in peoples lives. I got to capture true emotion in my pictures and memorialize unforgettable moments. I still said I would never photograph weddings, until my good friends Danny and Casey asked me to be their wedding photographer. It was their faith in me that led me down this path to wedding photography. I have had an overwhelming response from clients and many kind words about my work. There is nothing more beautiful to capture than a newly wed couple in the most important day of the rest of their lives. I have discovered a deep love for weddings. I am thrilled to see the wedding dress. The reactions when people first see her. The jitters of the groom as he waits to see his bride. The smiles on the guest faces during the father daughter dance. I get wrapped up in all of it. I've photographed 10 weddings this year and started booking weddings for 2018, but of all the work I have done and will do Danny and Casey's wedding will forever have a special place in my heart. I love you guys!
